Elaine T. Cullen, President

Elaine Cullen has
over 35 years experience working to improve safety
and health in mining. She was the Principle
Investigator for NIOSH to develop and evaluate
effective safety training and is the creator of 10
safety training videos,
nine for the mining industry and one for commercial
salmon fishing. She has won numerous national and
international awards for her work, including a Telly
Award for her documentary on the Sunshine Mine fire
that killed 91 miners. She is particularly
interested in the power stories have to connect to
trainees and convince them to work more safely. She
has earned a BA, MBA, and PhD from Gonzaga
University, and is a graduate of the Federal
Government’s Women’s Executive Leadership program.
She owns her own company, Prima Consulting Services,
working with customers in various industries to
develop effective safety awareness materials for
workers.

Diane Cortez, Vice President
and Treasurer

Diane Cortez holds
degrees in the fields of telecommunications, public
relations and advertising. She has worked in the
media industry for 30 years and managed a full
service television production department, with
multi-million dollar budgets, for over 19 years. She
has written, produced and directed many corporate,
commercial and non-profit videos that have received
national and international awards. She has worked
with Elaine Cullen for 11 years in the development
of safety and training videos for NIOSH. Diane has
also won awards for her marketing expertise and has
been a consultant for local agencies needing
assistance. She served as a Community Relations
Director and company spokesperson for the largest
cable company in the United States for over 12 years
and continues to volunteer her time on several
boards of directors for community agencies in her
area.

Trudy Gallinger, Secretary

Trudy Gallinger has extensive
experience in the field of education and curriculum
development. For 22 years she has successfully
worked on curriculum development for diverse groups
in multiple settings. Her success in small business
ownership is built on understanding leadership,
communication and collaboration. She has worked with
Elaine Cullen for three years doing research and
developing curricula for safety/health
and leadership training in various industries. She
has built community through organizational and
volunteer work with charitable functions,
non-profits, youth organizations, and education.
She has earned a BA and an MA degree in curriculum
development.
